About our Optometrist
Fouad Melamed, O.D.
Dr. Fouad Melamed, is a local of Beverly Hills for over 35 years. He completed his undergraduate studies in Psychobiology at UCLA and earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry (now called Marshall B. Ketchum University). Dr. Melamed completed his clinical externships at various Veterans Administration Medical Centers with his primary training being in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease with a focus on dry eye syndrome, advanced contact lens fits, glaucoma, diabetes, and vascular disease. Dr. Melamed also has an extensive knowledge of the newest contact lens designs including multifocal and specialty fits. He is also certified to manage and treat most ocular diseases including prescribing oral and topical medications when necessary.
